The autoharp
is not an easy instrument to go shopping for. Fortunately, I found
some great places to buy autoharp accessoires online from cases to
strings, tuners to tuning wrenches. If there's something missing,
please feel free to let me know, and I'll see if I can find a great
deal on 'em.
Autoharp Strings
- Music123 through Amazon.com : Full-set of autoharp strings at about 30% off the list price. No individual strings, but a good deal for your backup set of strings.
- Autoharp Quarterly : Lots of individual strings. This is where I go for mine.
- Bob Lewis' Autoharp Works : He offers single strings too, they're just not easy to get to. Head to his website for further details.
- Elderly Instruments : Elderly sells single autoharp strings too for a lower price than Autoharp Works, but not if ye need them asap.
Autoharp Tuners

KORG - CA20 :
Chromatic guitar tuner. My tuner of choice since 1999. Low cost,
yet very effective. Currently what I use.
- Matrix MPU2 Clip-On Tuner Mic : With clothes pin type clip. If you have a chromatic tuner and no pickup, you'll need this.
- Intellitouch Tuner :
Easy to use. Clip it on, sound a note, tune. Can be used in a noisy environment without wires, microphones or pick-ups. Batteries included.

Autoharp Cases
- Carrying bag : For the heavy duty music stand. Quilted cotton assorted florals, denim with embroidered trim, or plain denim.List preference in the "Special Instructions" box.
- Oscar Schmidt Autoharp Gig Bag : Zippered, padded nylon bag fits 15-chord or 21-chord autoharps. Accomodates autoharps up to 23" long; 12" wide at the wide end; 5" wide at the narrow end. Not super durable, but inexpensive and convienent.

Autoharp Finger Picks
- Golden Gate thumbpicks or Dunlop plastic finger picks :
The heavy picks you love! Size small or mediium. This is my all-time favorite thumb pick. Stays on lasts for months of heavy plucking. Medium or large. White or clear.
